Steamed Broccoli with Garlic and Smoked Paprika

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
  • salt, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Steam broccoli: Steam broccoli until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Sauté garlic: In a sauté pan, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until golden.
  • Add paprika and broccoli: Stir in smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, then quickly add the steamed broccoli. Sauté for about 3 minutes, stirring to coat.
  • Deglaze and finish: Deglaze the pan with sherry vinegar and season with salt. Toss well and serve warm.
